Leora Alice Ley, age 90, of Miles City formerly of Wibaux passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008 at Holy Rosary Extended Care in Miles City.

      Leora was born on the family ranch near Wibaux, Montana on September 6, 1917, the daughter of Alfred Leo and Grace (Daley) Ley.  She attended Ley Country School and graduated from Wibaux High School.  Following her schooling, she remained on the family ranch and took care of her parents until they passed away and she later took care of her brother Kenneth.  After the death of her parents she and Kenneth purchased a trailer and moved into Wibaux.  She remained there until Bob and Dorthy sold the ranch and Leora decided to move closer to them so she moved to Miles City the summer of 1999.  Due to a fall, she was forced to go to long term care at Holy Rosary Extended Care to be cared for by her brother and sister-in-law.

      Leora is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Dorthy Ley of Miles City, MT; many nieces and nephews; and two nieces Theresa and Kathleen whom she helped raise.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Kenneth and Tom, and a nephew Tim.

       Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2008 from 10:00 to 4:00 pm at the Holy Rosary Chapel in Miles City.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:00 am at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City.  Interment will follow in the family lot of the Dawson Memorial Cemetery at 2:30 pm in Glendive, MT.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting:  www.stevensonandsons.com.
