Prairie County Cemetery.
Rose Pauline Buechler, age 94, of Terry
passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the Prairie Community Nursing Home in
Terry.
Rose was born on May 26, 1914 in a log house in rural Dawson County, the daughter of Frank and Katie (Fornell) Siostrzanek. She attended various country schools before going to work at Lindsey to help support the family. She worked at home driving horses on the work plow. In November of 1931, she married Joe Konig and they lived on Bad Route Creek in Dawson County for 31 years before Joe passed away. She then married Raymond Buechler in August of 1968. They lived on the farm south of Fallon until 1983 when they moved to Terry. Ray passed away in March of 2001. Rose remained in Terry until the time of her death.
Rose enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing (she could make any pattern for sewing), and she loved to dance.
Rose is survived by three brothers: Joe Pisk of Glendive, MT; Carl (Bud) Pisk of Fallon, MT; and Pete Pisk of Kalispell, MT; a sister, Helen McHarry of Oaks, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, and a brother, Frank.
A Vigil service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Terry.
